FORCECOM forms the largest part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary's National Staff. This key group consists of six busy directorates.
The Chaplain Support Directorate (G) recruits and deploys highly qualified clergy to to help the Coast Guard's active duty component meet their pastoral and counseling needs.
The Diversity and Inclusion Directorate (D) is about acknowledging differences and adapting practices to create an inclusive environment in which diverse skills, perspectives, and backgrounds are valued.
The Human Resources Directorate (H) focuses on the Coast Guard Auxiliary's most important assets - our people. Human Resources also coordinates augmentation to the Coast Guard in such areas as recruiting, healthcare support, and culinary services.
The Public Affairs Directorate (A) tells the Auxiliary's story internally and externally, in print, on air, and online. They publish the widely-renowned Navigator magazine. It is Public Affairs personnel who lead National Safe Boating Week events across the nation. Their historians chronicle the Auxiliary's contributions to America.
The Student Programs Directorate (S) focuses on younger members involved with our Sea Scouts partners, and those in the Auxiliary University Program. S also manages the Auxiliary Academy Admissions Partners program.
The Training Directorate (T) prepares Auxiliary members to serve, to grow, and to lead. They are committed to providing the best training available by utilizing the latest techniques in multimedia presentations, online distance learning, and online testing. They provide a wide array of presentations, videos, and instructional guides to Auxiliary members.
