Presenters of the AULOC will be distinguished Auxiliarists who have “walked the walk” of executive level officers in both the Auxiliary, the military and the corporate world, or are acknowledged experts in the field of their presentation material
Mark Wilson BC-TLU
Mark was a LtCol in the USMCR from which he is now retired. A 23-year career saw service all over the world from Japan and Korea, to above the Arctic Circle. He was actively involved in conflicts in the Middle East in Deserts of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and as part of an International Civil Military Task Force in Bosnia. He taught Leadership and Command and Control to the Navy CBs Officers and Chief Petty Officers.
He has a technical manager background. As a manufacturing professional, he has over 20 years leadership experience outside of the military, primarily in managing the launching of new manufacturing lines out of R&D and into production. This experience has been in a variety of “high tech” fields and has been with major corporations as well as small start-up companies.
He joined the Auxiliary in 2013. In addition to being a Branch Chief – TLU, he has been a Vice Division Commander twice in two different Districts. Held staff positions up to DSO -Marine Safety. Earned the AuxOp Device, and Recreational Boating Safety Device. He holds Auxiliary Qualifications as an Auxiliary Prevention Outreach Specialist, Marine Safety Administrative Management Specialist, Uninspected Passenger Vessel Examiner, Instructor, VE, MDV and a Boat Crew.
