Welcome to the Flotilla 9-10, District 7 Web Site

Welcome to the Fort Myers and Cape Coral USCG Auxiliary Website. Flotilla 070-09-10 was originally formed in 1962 and today our nearly 60 members assist the United States Coast Guard by providing the public with recreational boating safety education and services to the greater Fort Myers and Cape Coral, Florida region.

Our flotilla meetings are on the second Tuesday of the months of January,, March, May, September and November. Meetings are held at 7:00pm at the St. Hilary's Episcopal Church (5011 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, FL) and all members, guests, and prospective members are welcome.

 

          

                                       About the Coast Guard Auxiliary

The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed, all-volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard. The Auxiliary was created by an Act of Congress in 1939, and has grown to over 32,000 members who daily support the US Coast Guard in all its non-military and non-law-enforcement missions.

Auxiliary members conduct safety patrols on local waterways, assist in search and rescue, teach boating safety classes, conduct free vessel safety checks for the public, provide boating safety literature to dealers, as well as many other activities related to recreational boating safety.

Membership in the Auxiliary is open to persons 17 years of age and older. We are organized into 16 districts nationwide, comprised of 171 divisions with approximately 980 flotillas
