Welcome to the Flotilla 22-12, District 5SR Web Site
Established by Congress in 1939 under title 14, § 23 of the U.S. Code, the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer uniformed component of the U.S. Coast Guard. One of the newest missions the Auxiliary has engaged in is cybersecurity.
The Flotilla is the basic organizational unit of the Auxiliary and is comprised of at least 15 qualified members who carry out the day-to-day missions of "Team Coast Guard". Every Auxiliary member is part of a Flotilla.
Flotilla 22-12 was stood up on 21 April 2023 in the Fifth District Southern Region as an innovative Coast Guard Auxiliary unit based out of Fort Meade, Maryland established with the primary purpose to recruit and retain cybersecurity professionals to support the Coast Guard's missions in the cyber domain.
The Flotilla welcomes all that meet the Auxiliary criteria for membership, but encourages those with interest in supporting its core cybersecurity mission to join. If you are interested in participating in the other missions of the Auxiliary (either in lieu of or in addition to cybersecurity), you are encouraged to join a local Flotilla near you.
