SeaScouts Youth Protection Training

1) In your web browser enter http://my.scouting.org

 2a) First, Create an Account. Do this by clicking on “Create Account”. This takes you through several steps, asking for personal information, establishing a User Name and Password, etc. You have no choice but to answer theses questions. Make sure that you write down, and keep safe, the information you submitted. You will need it to access your account later on.

 2b) Once you have created an account you can log into http://my.scouting.org using Username and Password. This leads you to your “my scouting” page.

 3) On the RH side of the page you will find two logos that give you access to the YPT courses. Click on either the English or Spanish version. It will take you to the Youth Protection Training page.

 4a) At this point, take the 3 Mandatory Courses:

   •   Overview and Policies   •   Sexual Abuse   •   Bullying

 4b) Take the Certification Test (25 questions, with 75 % passing requirement). Upon completion of the Certification Test take a screen shot for your records. Within 24 hours you will also receive an e-mail with the Certificate attached in pdf format.

 5) Finally, send a copy of the Certificate as an attachment to the Office of COMO Belmore at
D01-SMB-D!-S-AUX-Support-CTR@uscg.mil
