The role of our Public Affairs effort is to build and foster relations with our local media outlets and the general public for the purpose sharing the story of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and mostly, recreational boating safety. We make public appearance at local community events, provide speeches and presentations to civic and community groups and organizations, visit with local students and schools, and work closely with local officials in the boating industry.

Coastie the Safety Boat
"Coastie" is a remote controlled educational toy perfect for children and family audiences. It helps teach water and boating safety through interactive education and fun demonstrations. This includes reminding young people to wear life jackets, stay alert on the water, and respect the rules of water and boating safety.
