Local Boat America Class
Our flotilla offers a one-day basic boating safety class from 8:30am - 4:30pm monthly on the second Saturday year-round. Classes are held on the 2nd floor in the community/training room of the Publix Super Market, 2420 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, FL..

- All graduates receive a Florida Boating Safety I.D. Card (good for a lifetime).
- There is a $30 per person fee for the Boat America textbook.
- Classes are taught by USCG Auxiliary certified instructors.
Boat America is designed as a beginners' basic course about boats and operating boats safely in American waterways. Experienced instructors walk you through general information about boats and maintenance, preparing for safe and enjoyable outings, navigation rules and aids to navigation, guidelines for operating your boat or PWC safely, advice on what to do in case of boating emergencies, and the current state and federal laws and regulations related to boats and boating.
