Flotilla 9-10 General Information

                                                                                                                                                                        Boating Assistance and Safety Education

          

On varies weekends throughout the year, our flotilla members assist local boaters' launch and retrieve their vessels at the Horton Boat Ramp and Park in Cape Coral. We use this opportunity to teach and provide important safety information to the boating public.

                


                                        Flotilla Members Receive Awards

Several of our outstanding flotilla members received recognition and awards for their accomplishments and service at our September 2025 Flotilla Meeting. Members include (left to right) Tim Fountain, John Queen, Thomas McColough and Louis Conti. During the fall, winter and spring months, the flotilla holds monthly meetings (second Tuesday) 7:00pm at St. Hillary's Church in Fort Myers, Florida. The public is always welcome.

            Flotilla Honor Guard Performs and Honors Late Auxiliary Member

This past July, Coast Guard Auxiliary members, Tim Fountaine and Patrick Joyce from Flotilla 9-10, Fort Myers and Cape Coral, helped honor the passing of Betty Riddle from near-by Flotilla 9-6. Betty was a long-term and highly valuable member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Her family and community felt the ceremony was very moving and a great way to honor her service.

 

                                       National Safe Boating Week - 2025

Our Flotilla was activity promoting safe boating practices and helping local boaters launch their vessels at the Holton Park and Boat Ramp in Cape Coral on May 17,18 and the 24th. We used this opportunity to educate and promote all forms of safe boating.
