DVC-HQ Division Chief
The HQ Inquires Division receives leads from prospective members that enter their contract information on the “Join” Page of the cgaux.org browser. The HQ Division Branch Chief or Assistant Branch Chief in each District receives the prospects contact information and vets the prospect /applicant for US Coast Guard Auxiliary membership requirements and provides information about service opportunities within the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. A qualified prospect is then referred to a local SO HR or FSO HR officer to join a local Flotilla. This System is used by all levels of USCG AUX HR officers to track the progress of a prospective new member.

Uniform Division

DVC-HU, Division Chief
  • The Uniform Division is responsible for receiving and disseminating information regarding uniforms. The Division ensures that all necessary information concerning the procurement, proper wear and maintenance of uniforms is accessible to members of the Auxiliary.
  • Disseminate and distribute information of any changes affecting uniforms, to include new and revised procedures associated with uniform wear and grooming standards.
  • Assists in the advancement of the Auxiliary Uniform and Award Manual, to include the Online Interactive Uniform Guide that can be downloaded.
  • Develop and disseminate procedures for Auxiliarists to properly wear and assist in acquiring uniforms and their respective components.
  • Advise Auxiliarists through the Human Resource website, under the “What’s New” section, of changes in the uniforms and insignia authorized Auxiliarists wear.
  • Resolve any problems or misunderstandings regarding uniforms and associated component wear through the National help desk.
  • Review, update, and disseminate an annual Auxiliary Uniform Guide, particularly with updates from the Uniform Board (if needed).
  • Review various National, Division, and Flotilla sites for uniform discrepancies and provide positive feedback to help units adjust their displays.
  • Information on what Aux-members are required to undergo a uniform inspection each calendar year
  • Provide direction to the Branch Chiefs to maintain regular communication with their Area of Responsibility (AOR) to ensure a central point of contact for uniform wear and issues.
  • Work with other directorates to create content for the HR Uniform page as well as other public/online displays of uniforms and their components.
  • Provide instruction to the DSO’s on uniform updates via online presentations.
  • How to perform and validate the uniform inspection in AUXDATA II entry purposes by the FC, VFC, IPFC, or another elected officer
Special Projects

The Special Projects Division provides operational solutions for non-routine, project-based initiatives of high value and consequence for the Active Duty and Auxiliary. Projects include:
  • Talent Management Task Force (TMX) for the USCG
  • Coast Guard Mutual Assistance Ambassador for awareness of CGMA outreach and fundraising
  • Engagement in Onboarding to increase the percentage of Auxiliarists in BQ status and improve member participation
