Trained members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary are playing an increasingly vital role in attracting new talent, supporting all aspects of the Coast Guard's recruitment efforts. From recent high school graduates embarking on enlisted careers to law school graduates joining through the Direct Commission program, Auxiliary members are working hand-in-hand with active duty recruiters to expand the Coast Guard's reach. This dedication has been especially instrumental since the "Stand Down" order during the COVID pandemic. Between that time and the end of 2023, Auxiliary members have seen a remarkable 280% increase in the time they devote to the recruiting mission, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the Coast Guard's success.
