About the Association
Membership
The PDCA is made up of past division commanders as well as associate members. It costs $5 to join and $5 annual dues. Life memberships are also available. Please contact our treasurer to arrange to pay your 2025 dues!
Our Purpose
- The purpose of the Association is to support the District
leadership's strategic goals and to promote a healthy and robust District,
capable of carrying out the Auxiliary's many mission areas. It will
achieve its purpose by leveraging the knowledge, experience and
creativity of those who have served as Division Commanders. The
Association will primarily focus its efforts on training and mentoring and
may contribute to District-wide and regional initiatives.
Our Activities
In
2024 and 2025, the PDCA supported trainings focusing on communications,
mentoring and leadership at the District Conference and provided town hall zoom
programs to offer resources and support to emerging leaders around the
District.
Current Initiatives
Mentor matching and support:
Emerging leaders may contact PDCA president Debra Alderman to request to be paired with an experienced leader to explore developing a mentoring relationship. The PDCA also hopes to offer training for mentors in the coming year, as well.
Lifejacket loaner station monitoring
The State of Washington’s Boating Program has requested Auxiliary assistance in 2025 to verify the location of lifejacket loaner stations (over 300) around the state. The program will kick off with an
organizational zoom meeting on April 27th at 6 p.m. Pacific/7 p.m. Mountain. Details are on the District
Calendar. Please RSVP to Debra Alderman if you can attend.
