Guardians Of The Southwest!
Who We Are
The U.S. Coast Guard’s philosophy is SEMPER PARATUS (ALWAYS READY)—prepared for all threats and hazards. The Coast Guard Auxiliary is an essential part of this mission, supporting Coast Guard forces in various capacities. Our responsibilities include:
- Conducting safety patrols on local waterways
- Assisting with homeland security duties
- Teaching boating safety classes
- Performing free vessel safety checks for the public
- Engaging in many other activities to promote maritime safety
Our Vision
As a component of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Coast Guard, the Coast Guard Auxiliary serves the public as the National Recreational Boating Safety Coordinator. We strive to enhance the maritime experience by collaborating with stakeholders across all modes of transportation to develop consensus-driven solutions.
Our success is measured by customer satisfaction, and we shape our priorities based on the needs of the boating community.
