Welcome to the Flotilla 43-1, District 9WR Web Site

Hello, and welcome aboard! You have reached the official website for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 43-1. We are proud to serve the Greater Milwaukee Metropolitan area.

We work closely with our other local flotillas, 43-3 (serving Waukesha, Washington and Jefferson Counties), 43-4 (Serving the Greater Madison area), as well as local active duty Coast Guard units in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Our primary responsibilities include Recreational Boating Safety, including Public Education, Vessel Examinations, and Program Visitation, where we visit local marine retail outlets with information regarding safety, education, and examination opportunities for the public. We also engage in Marine Safety operations, making sure that local Aids to Navigation are usable and properly functioning, as well as reporting any discrepancies or damage. Finally, we assist local active duty and reserve components of the US Coast Guard with air and surface operations like towing, as well as some search and rescue.

If you have questions about what we do, please check out our Frequently Asked Questions section (FAQ). If you would like to speak to someone about potentially joining us, please check out the “About 43-1” link. Both of these links can be found in the left-hand column of the page. Finally, you can use either of the icons below to be taken to our social media pages.
