US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 092-02-04

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary supports the operation of the U. S. Coast Guard station Oswego, including assistance with Search and Rescue ( SAR) cases, Radio Watch Standing, Safety Patrols of the waterways and other station duties as assigned. The members and officers of Oswego Flotilla 24 are active in conducting free vessel safety checks for recreational boaters, teaching boating safety classes, making marine dealer visits, and promoting the wearing of life jackets and general boating safety. The Auxiliary provides hands-on training in Search and Rescue ( SAR) Operations, Crew and Coxswain Training, Communications / Radio Watch Standing at USCG Station Oswego and backup crew to the Coast Guard Station . Several members offer their personal watercraft as patrol vessels.
