Marine Operations Calendar 2019

Please take advantage of as many opportunities as will fit into your schedule.  Don’t limit yourself to your personal flotilla events. Volunteer to crew outside your area to learn new tricks from others, get to know other flotilla members, and experience new waters.  Build your experience!

 

Note: All Patrols Sector Sault is your radio guard unless instructed otherwise – Call in on Channel 16, then switch to the working channel as instructed. Sector Sault 906-635-3236

June 7 – 9: Boat School, Cheboygan

 

June 14 - 16: Bay Harbor in Water Boat Show: 1 boat (PV) and Vessel Safety Check (VSC)  as well as patrol

 

June 27 – 30: Traverse City Cherry Festival Airshow: Multiple boats needed!

 

June 30: EJ Freedom Festival fireworks patrol: 1 -2 boats escort and/or event

 

July 3: Bay Harbor fireworks: 1-2 boats

 

July 4 : Fireworks- Boyne City, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Alpena, Mackinaw Straits, Traverse City, and Marquette.  Plenty of Opportunities!

 

July 12 – 13: Boyne Thunder Offshore Race : Multiple boats and locations along race

 

July 20: Charlevoix Venetian-Aquapolusa : 1-2 boats – Event and Area of Responsibility (AOR)

 

July 26 - 27: Charlevoix Venetian Festival :Fireworks–Day/Night patrols available

 

August 2: Cheboygan boat parade: Support required (TBD)

 

August 3: Elk Rapids Harbor Days fireworks: 1-2 boats – set up and show

 

August 9 – 10: Hessel Boat Show: Support required (TBD)

 

August 10 - 11:  Top O’Michigan Boat race, Cheboygan: Support required (TBD)

 

August 25: TC Ironman swim: Support required (TBD)

 

September 2: Mackinaw Bridge Walk: Multiple boats  needed
