Welcome to the Cape Haze USCG Auxiliary Website.
Southeast District, Flotilla 09-09, assisting the United States Coast Guard by providing the public with recreational boating safety education and services to the Cape Haze, Florida region.
Our Mission: Members of United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 99 perform essential duties for the Federal Government in support roles to the United States Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security. Our duties include non-law enforcement and non-military roles in search and rescue missions, patrols, boating education, marine safety, marine environmental protection, and vessel safety examinations.
Meetings: The Flotilla meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at the SGC HOA CLUBHOUSE at: 14859 INGRAHAM BLVD, PORT CHARLOTTE, FL 33981
The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed, all-volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard. The Auxiliary was created by an Act of Congress in 1939, and has grown to over 32,000 members who daily support the US Coast Guard in all its non-military and non-law-enforcement missions.
Auxiliary members conduct safety patrols on local waterways, assist in search and rescue, teach boating safety classes, conduct free vessel safety checks for the public, provide boating safety literature to dealers, as well as many other activities related to recreational boating safety.
Membership in the Auxiliary is open to persons 17 years of age and older. We are organized into 16 districts nationwide, comprised of 171 divisions with approximately 980 flotillas
