Boca Raton Coast Guard Auxiliary Welcomes You to Our Website

Thanks for visiting our site.  We are the civilian volunteer uniformed arm that helps and supports our local US Coast Guard Station based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  The Coast Guard Auxiliary provides boating safety classes, on the water training, vessel exams, and search and rescue services to the public.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary was established by Congress in 1929 and is comprised of over 30,000 of your friends and neighbors and fellow Americans who volunteer more than 2 million hours annually to benefit boaters and their families.

Our purpose is to assist the US Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security to:

  • promote safety and to effect rescues on navigable waters
  • promote responsible, efficient and safe operation of watercraft
  • foster widespread knowledge of and compliance with the laws, rules, and regulations governing the operation of watercraft, and
  • facilitate other operations and missions as appropriate
