Welcome to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

We are Flotilla 1, Division 2, District 7.  

We operate on the Savannah River and Lake Strom Thurmond.  The US Coast Guard, who has the responsibility for promoting boating safety on Lake Thurmond, has tasked it’s civilian arm, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, to plan and execute procedures to support this Coast Guard  mission. Flotilla 2-1 does this by holding public boating safety education classes, free vessel examinations, participation in local boat shows and marina events and keeping a presence on our local waterways with surface patrols.
