The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Division 4 is an all-volunteer arm of the United States Coast Guard serving the boating public in Southeastern Penna. We operate boat safety patrols on the Delaware River from the Schuylkill River to the DE/PA State Line, with operations directed by Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay in Philadelphia. Division 4 provides services such as Safe Boating Classes, Vessel Safety Examinations, Maritime Observation Missions, and Marine Dealer Visits. Members have access to training in seamanship, navigation, and search and rescue. Our members serve with the Coast Guard as force multipliers, maintaining aids to navigation, cooking at stations and on cutters and serving in many administrative roles. When asked why they joined, most Auxiliarists say, "for the training". Most members stay committed because of the impact of our work. We enjoy terrific fellowship with each other and with the active duty and reserve Coast Guard.
