Welcome to the Flotilla 25-6, District 1SR Web Site
South Windsor, CT
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the civilian, uniformed volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard. One of our main missions of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary is recreational boating safety and education.
We're happy to provide:
- No-cost Vessel Examination ("VE", "Vessel Safety Checks"): Boaters can check to see that they have all of the required boating safety equipment aboard.
- Boating Education Classes: Provide boaters with the knowledge they need to operate their boats competently and safety. This also qualifies for the CT Safe Boating Certificate.
Consider joining our flotilla! We are accepting new members and hold our meetings on the third Monday of each month at 1930 (7:30PM) in person and on Zoom. For more information and to join a meeting as a guest, please contact Robert Carlson, Human Resources Officer, [email protected] or visit the Auxiliary website at: http://join.cgaux.org.
The Auxiliary was founded in 1939 by an Act of Congress as the US Coast Guard Reserves and re-designated the Auxiliary in 1941. The 21,000 volunteer members (men and women) donate millions of hours in support of Coast Guard missions, such as Search & Rescue, Public Education, Marine Environmental Protection and Maritime Domain Awareness.
