Welcome to the Division 11, District 1NR Web Site

Serving Cape Cod MA, Nantucket & Martha's Vineyard

Vice Division Commander Tim Howell and I welcome you to our website.

The USCG Auxiliary is composed of dedicated volunteers, who donate their time and expertise by supporting the US Coast Guard in all of its assigned missions, with the exception of direct law enforcement.

This web site is organized to be useful to both our Auxiliary members, and the general public. The tabs on the left-hand side give you access to useful information. In particular you will find information on the following topics:

·       How to join us General information is found in “Join Us”, but under the heading “Flotilla” you will find links to information for a Flotilla near you. I’d like to add that one does not need to have prior military experience, nor need to own a boat to become a member. Membership is open to all citizens of the United States and its territories who are at least 17 years old.

·       Vessel Safety Checks The free checks give you the peace of mind that your boat meets minimum safety standards.

·       Boating Courses you can, and probably should take. There is a large selection to choose from: “Boat America”, “Boating Skills & Seamanship”, and “Suddenly in Command” being the most popular.
