MEMBERS ~ MISSIONS ~ MEDIA

Members – Our basic mission is two-fold.  We must recruit quality members, train them so that they are proficient and productive in at least one mission area, and assist them in maintaining qualifications and/or obtaining new ones.  We must also care for and care about our current members, encouraging some to become active, encouraging others to stay active, current, and involved.  Qualified, active members are our most valuable resource.

Missions – Our mission areas are continually evolving and expanding.  Integration with and assisting the Active Duty has become as important as, if not more so, than our legacy Recreational Boating Safety missions.  Never has Semper Gumby been more appropriate or necessary.  Our relevance to the Active Duty depends on our being able to adapt to new operating environments and develop performance standards for new mission areas.

Media – We must expand our presence on various media types and platforms if we are to be effective in letting others know about the Auxiliary.  Prospective members need to know about what we do, where we can be found, what is expected of members, and how to join us.  Current members need to know what other units are doing, what events are scheduled in the future, as well as easy-to-find information and forms.
