As the volunteer, uniformed branch of the U.S. Coast Guard, we are perceived by the public as Coast Guard personnel.  Whenever an Auxiliarist is conducting a Vessel Safety Check, teaching a public education class, manning a booth at a boat show or on patrol, we are a part of Team Coast Guard.
