ICS Training

Incident Command System (ICS) training is the foundation of Emergency Management and Disaster Response. A wide range of training opportunities are available to Auxiliary members which can be tailored to each member's need or position within the emergency management system.

Some entry level ICS training is required for Basically Qualified (BQ) members and there are specific ICS training requirements for various qualifications. Our Entry Level ICS page has course descriptions and links to entry level and general ICS courses.

Our ICS Recommended course page includes course descriptions and links to more specific aspects of the emergency management system that may be required for specific Auxiliary qualifications or for those interested in emergency management topics.

Auxiliary members interested in more advanced, professional level, training can learn more about that on our Advanced Training page.

Our ICS Resources page has a rich library of tools and aids for members who are studying or working in emergency management roles.

Members interested in learning about qualification in Coast Guard emergency management positions should consult our EM Qualification page.
