The USCG Auxiliary is like an orchestra, with an extremely diverse group of people, performing together to create a masterpiece. Yet, we are not the same without your unique skills and experiences.
The majority of the operational skill sets of the Coast Guard Auxiliary fall under the overall guidance of one of the following Directorates, or functional areas. The training programs required to acquire these skills and become proficient are defined in these areas.
Below is a cross reference of the more popular and needed skills within the Auxiliary. Most auxiliary members become certified in a number of these skill sets aligned with their own interests and experiences.
