Announcements

All publications are on hold until the second quarter of 2025.  With the DEI issues ongoing, until that is resolved per NATIONAL’S instructions, we want to be sure to comply with the rules.

The following is the information on how to set up your articles:

  1. Please do NOT indent your paragraphs.
  2. DO justify them.
  3. Single space the sentences.
  4. Double space between paragraphs
  5. Verdana is the font of choice.
  6. Do NOT use a comma (,) with but or and.  Also no comma before so.
  7. Capitalize Division, Flotilla or District if you are saying a specific one.  Example:  Division 3 will be hosting Let’s Go Fishing.
  8. Do not capitalize if making a general statement about them.  Example:  Several divisions will be helping.  The division is meeting on Tuesday.
  9. Do not use phone numbers or email addresses of Auxiliary members.  Refer them to AuxOfficer or make their name or the words “phone number” into a hyperlink.  If they are not members, AuxOfficer won’t let them in even if you link them.  This is done for member privacy/protection.

Once we are back up and running, the deadlines for submitting articles are as follows:

  • 1 April 2350 hours
  • 1 July 2350 hours
  • 1 October 2350 hours
  • 31 December 2350 hours (this is a wrap-up for those not continuing in the office and a up-coming activities for the next year for those who are)

A group of people holding cameras AI-generated content may be incorrect.Photos!!  We all have a camera with us every day.  Our phones take wonderfully detailed photos.  And photos add so much to our articles.  Just remember the 5 W’s:  who, what, when, where and why.  Be sure to add the names of people in the photos and the name of the photographer as well. Giving credit is as needed as having the photos are.
