Standing Rules
The PDCA operates under Standing Rules adopted by the PDCA.
Eligibility for Membership
Mission
Composed of Past Division Commanders, the purpose of the PDCA is bring their talents to motivate a continuing interest in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary; to work with and assist in the Auxiliary affairs of the Eighth District Western Rivers Region (8th Western Rivers); and to assist the District Commodore in furthering information to the new Auxiliary units throughout the Region.
Vision Statement
The PDCA will be a valuable contributor to the 8WR Commodore and District Board, prepare and deliver PDCA programing to the 8th Western Rivers and keep those programs going, and work to identify other contributions the PDCA could make.
Passing the Bar Memorial Service
The PDCA has been charged to present a Memorial for 8th Western Rivers members, both Active and Retired, who have Crossed the Bar since the last memorial ceremony. Traditionally this program is presented at the Spring D-Train, where the most Auxiliary members will be in attendance.

PDCA Luncheon Speakers
The PDCA sponsors one of the Luncheons at the Spring D-Train and the Fall Business Meeting-T, and invites speakers to give a presentation to the attendees at the luncheon.
PDCA President and 8th Western Rivers DCDR Pre-Board Meeting
The President of the PDCA, as a member of the 8th Western Rivers Board, is tasked with Running the DCDR Meeting which is held at the same time as the EXCOM meeting, to allow DCDR’s the opportunity to have a chance to express opinions and requests for EXCOM action, without fear of attribution, which the President of the PDCA communicates to the Commodore before the full Board meeting.
Awards
The Diane Williams Leadership Award
An award given to that member of the Association … who, in the opinion of the committee … based on written recommendations, has contributed the most to the Eighth District, Western Rivers in the listed categories in the past year.
Missing Man Table
The PDCA has prepared a Missing Man Table, to Honor those members of the Auxiliary and all members of the Armed Services, who have not returned from their Service to our Country. This table is prepared for the Commodore’s Banquet, when one is held.
PDCA Memorial Guide
The PDCA has prepared a Memorial Guide for use at Local Memorial Services for Auxiliary members who have Crossed the Bar.
Used Uniform Exchange
The PDCA has a limited amount of Used Uniforms and Insignia which is currently housed at AUXCEN.
