CONGRATULATIONS!
If you're reading this then you have completed your Core Training and you will soon be assigned BQ Status. It's been a journey, and you're almost done with your New Member Training. Just a few more steps to go....
Before we go any further, the next step is to learn how to track and submit all the time you provide the Auxiliary, how to manage your personal records, achievements, training certifications, and more.
These functions are all completed in the Auxiliary's data management system AUXDATA II or AD2. Learning this system can be tough at times, and while it's designed to be "user-friendly", it can also be "user-challenging". For this reason there is a plethora of training materials and "How-To" pages on how to access and navigate the system.
As with everything we ask of a member, there is always someone standing by to help. So before you start learning AD2, contact your FSO-IS, Steven Anthony Fiorillo, and he/she will setup some training time with you to assist in the first steps.
Let's Get Trained! Now that you're BQ status you are now eligible to start training for the roles you joined the Auxiliary for. There are many options to learn new skills, as well as put your life experiences to work.
All the roles within the Auxiliary are managed by specific Directorates including Administration, Operations, Recreational Boating Safety, Mission Support, and more. So if you're looking to be involved with the boating public, provide support to the USCG(Gold-Side), support the Auxiliary through leadership roles or internal administration, it's all here. The opportunities in the Auxiliary are many and all at your fingertips.

The most important thing to remember is that your Auxiliary leadership is here to help you succeed. So if at anytime you have any questions, please reach out to your current mentor, your FSO-MT(Member Training) Charles Gray Grosvenor, or to any of your FSOs for assistance.
Competency Training |
There are are range of competencies to choose from, each requiring various levels of certification training and currency requirements, but all are geared to serve the boating public and the USCG, providing you with the level of service and education you're looking for.
Our flotilla's members participate in a vast array of competencies, serving both the boating community and the Gold-Side(USCG). Each of these competencies are assigned an FSO or contact to provide you with the training you need, as well as be a mentor throughout the process.

Let's Find You a Competency!Leadership Training |
Leadership competencies are the knowledge, skills, and expertise the Coast Guard and Auxiliary expect of their leaders. While there is some overlap in these competencies, they generally fall within four broad categories: Leading self, Leading others, Leading performance and change, and Leading the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
These skills can be used in various roles within the Auxiliary from becoming an Flotilla Staff Officer(FSO), to Flotilla Commander(FC) or Vice Flotilla Commander(VFC), on up to Division, District or National positions.
If you have any questions about obtaining a leadership role, please reach out to any of your Flotilla Staff
Become A Leader Today! This is the last step in your New Member Training, getting your uniform. The Auxiliary uniform is an important part of being an Auxiliarist. It shows the boating community that you belong to a team that's here to serve them.
Depending on the competencies or roles you choose to participate in will determine which uniform(s) you'll need. The most common uniforms are either the Tropical Blues(Trops) or the Operational Dress Uniform(ODU). To determine which uniform is best for you, please contact the FSO-HR Steven Robert Romines or FSO-MT Charles Gray Grosvenor.
Once you've determined which uniform is right for your needs, you need to purchase it. To assist in this task, the Auxiliary has developed the Interactive Uniform Guide(IUG). This guide will assist you in locating your uniform and how/where to procure it.

If at any time you have difficulties finding what you need or have questions, please contact your FSO-MA Diane C. Heyman for further assistance.
