Effective the end of 12/31/22, the Mainistee Flotilla 31-08 is disbanded.  Members are transferring to the Ludington Flotilla 31-06.  The following is taken from the Flotilla 31-08 Website:

Manistee Flotilla

  Welcome Aboard!

 Our Flotilla is situated in Manistee, Michigan with a detachment in Frankfort, Michigan on the east shore of Lake Michigan. Our Area Of Responsibility is from the Manitou Islands north of Point Betsie to Big Point Sable, covering approximately 70+ miles of shore line. In our AOR we also responsible for 4 lakes (Betsie Lake, Arcadia Lake, Portage Lake and Manistee Lake).
 
Our flotilla was established in 1992. Our detachment was established in 2005. We are currently 24 members strong. We are involved with CG Station Manistee and CG Station Frankfort in on-water operations, Auxair operations, training, SAR, Navigation Systems, station support and we also conduct safe boating education classes, vessel safety checks, recreational program visits at local businesses involved with marine issues and we are also involved in Marine Safety.
 
We meet the 1st Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Coast Guard Station Manistee. The Frankfort Detachment meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Coast Guard Station Frankfort. All who are interested in our flotilla or our detachment are welcomed to attend our meetings.
