Coast Guard Auxiliary Boating Safety Course
Flotilla 14-7 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be presenting “About Boating Safety,” 2nd Edition, a beginner’s boating course that will give the participant the knowledge to successfully obtain a Florida Boater’s Card.
Our Saturday local boating class is held at the Regional Airport Conference Center 4930 Casa Cola Way, St. Augustine, starting at 8:30 AM and lasting until 4:30 PM.
Any boat operator in the State of Florida, born after January 1, 1988, when operating a vessel powered by 10 horsepower or more, must have in their possession a Florida Boating Safety Education Identification Card. Successful completion of this course will meet this obligation and the State of Florida will issue you a Boater Operators card.
The cost of the class is $30.00 per person. (Additional members of the same family sharing the textbook is $10.00 each). Paypal, or Check is acceptable in advance of the class. This fee includes the course book for your personal use.
We suggest you bring your lunch as we have a short break at mid-day. Smoking in the building and classroom is not permitted. There is an outdoor area where such activities are permitted.
