Family Boating Safety Information Available
August 2nd, 2025, at The Tide, 321 Park Avenue, Boca Grande
[Cape Haze] — The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 99, and The Tide, a family book, clothing and gift store with a nautical twist, invite you to a celebrate family safe boating Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Tide. This community outreach event is designed to educate and empower boaters of all ages, encouraging safe and enjoyable experiences on the water.
Event Highlights:
- Ages 4 and up: take the “PFD Panda Pledge” and get a certificate signed by the Commander of Flotilla 99.

Each year, hundreds of boating accidents are caused by the lack of safety equipment, inattention, inexperience, speed. This event aims to reduce incidents through education and awareness.
