Incident Command System - General Courses

The Emergency Management & Disaster Response Directorate recommends that you take the following courses in the order listed.

 

IS-100.C: Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100

ICS 100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training.


IS-200.C: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

ICS 200 is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-200 provides training on and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS.

       
ICS-210 Initial Incident Commander - Aux Learning Mgt System - Login Required

ICS-210 is a course designed for Single Resource Leader Incident Commanders. Based on the ICS-300 course but condensed and focused on initial incident assessment, initial incident management (includes assuming command, organization, and execution), and development and use of ICS forms. 
ICS 210 is available through the Auxiliary Learning Management System - Course Code 502325. AuxLMS Login is required. When you complete ICS 210 you will not need to do anything, completion is entered in your training record 5 to 10 days after you take the course. But - keep the passing score Email just in case (and the system keeps a record of your completion as well).


             IS-700.B: National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction

This course introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents.

 IS-800.D: National Response Framework, An Introduction

 The course introduces the concepts and principles of the National Response Framework.
