The Publications Officer is responsible for keeping members of the Auxiliary unit well informed on matters of importance and interest. The official job description for Publications Officers is in the AUXILIARY MANUAL COMDTTNST M16790.1. Job duties include editing the unit newsletter, staff responsibility for matters relating to publications, assist in the preparation and distribution of publications and their clearance, support and encourage the submission of articles by members and staff officers, maintain a file of all unit publications and submitted articles. To be a successful Publications Officer, an Auxiliary member should have knowledge of Public Affairs and Publications guidelines plus skills in the area of reporting, photography, design, editing, and technology.
