Guardian of the Heartland
The Director of Auxiliary (DIRAUX) is charged with the active promotion and administration of Auxiliary affairs in the district and for compliance with instructions and directives governing the Auxiliary organization. As the District Commander's representative in all matters pertaining to the Auxiliary, the director keeps the District commander advised of all circumstances and developments of interest as they pertain to the program.
Members of the Coast Guard are diverse, multi-missioned, and stand ready to guard America's interests at land, at sea, or in the air. The Coast Guard active-duty, Reserve, Auxiliary and civilian members, together, form Coast Guard Force. The result is a precision unit working each day and every minute to provide maritime law enforcement, environmental protection, maritime safety and national security to America.
