Lines and Knots are a critical part of boating.  Knowing witch knots to use and when to use them will help ensure your safety and reduce your stress.  These knots are secure, easy to tie, and easy to undo.  But they require practice.  Good boaters practice them continuously so they can use them unconsciously. 

Below are a few of the commonly used knots by the Coast Guard and proficient boaters.
