Auxiliary Recruiting Support Specialist Nicholas White presents the Coast Guard Core Values Award to student Bryan Castillo Gonzalez. The award, issued by Senior Chief Knowles, recognizes Bryan's heroic actions on December 12, when he took control of his school bus after the driver lost consciousness, saving all the students on board. 

 

 

Auxiliary Recruiting Support Specialist 2 Bruce Talbot assisted Tampa Bay Recruiting Office Chief Preston Berry at Florida Gulf Coast University's "All Majors Career Fair." The event, which drew over 500 college students, resulted in three enlistment referrals.

Auxiliary Recruiting Support Specialist Brady Conners presented a dynamic orientation on the Auxiliary mission at the Coast Guard Recruiter Conference hosted at Hanscom Air Force Base. CAPT Keffer presented AUX Conners with a command challenge coin after briefing.

 Recruiting Support Specialist 3 Luis Santos proudly receives his Coast Guard recruiter's badge from Electronics Technician 1st Class Luis Quiroz, the Alternate Recruiter In Charge, of Recruiting Office Memphis.

 

 

 Auxiliary Recruiting Support Specialists Ken Mangus and Bradley Couch are supporting Coast Guard recruiters at the ten day Coast Guard Festival in Grand Haven, Michigan

 

 

Coast Guard Recruiting Support Specialist Chris Ware and "Sandy the Recruiter" dog augment Coast Guard recruiters at Coast Guard Fest. An estimated 350,000 people attend this summer festival.

 

 

 

The Minneapolis Coast Guard Recruiting Office held its Grand Opening on Saturday, June 1st. Recruiting Support Auxiliarists Don Garvey, Jerry Stockham and Chris Ware, along with District Auxiliary leadership, were on hand to help recruiters greet the public

 

 

Recruiting Specialist Nicholas White presented Coast Guard career opportunities to students at Hiram High School in Paulding County, Georgia. Hiram High School has an enrollment of just under 1,800 students and graduates about 400 students each year.

Coast Guard Recruiting Region 4 Auxiliary Branch Chief Thomas E. Duhon (on right) assisted Senior Chief Mark Molina, Recruiter In Charge, of Recruiting Office New Orleans, at the HBCU Legacy Bowl Career Fair.  An estimated 1,500 students from 49 different colleges attended the event.

 

 

Auxiliarists Cecelia Cervi and Brian Smith represented Coast Guard Recruiting at the University of Rhode Island, College of Environmental Sciences on 07 FEB 2024.  Auxiliary member Cervi is a current student at URI studying Marine Affairs: https://www.uri.edu/programs/program/marine-affairs-b-a-b-s/

The URI Marine Affairs department enrolls several Coast Guard officers into its graduate programs each year. 

 

 

 Coast Guard Auxiliary Recruiting Support Specialist Andrew Burkart, Region 4 Branch Chief, teamed up with MST3 Montagne and YN2 Somers from MSU Paducah, KY at the Livingston Central High School Career Fair. Although MSU (Marine Safety Unit) personnel are not trained as recruiters, pairing active duty with a trained Auxiliary Recruiting Support Specialist makes a synergistic presentation.

Recruiting Support Specialist Jock Whittlesey assisted Coast Guard Recruiting Office Miami at the 2023 Redlands Christian Academy College Fair. Students learned about the Coast Guard college scholarship program and exciting career opportunities.

Having a local, trained Auxiliary member to provide follow up support for recruiting prospects is extremely valuable.

Recruiting Support Specialist Nicholas White, who supports Recruiting Office Atlanta, delivered a Flotilla presentation on the new Scout Talent And Refer "STAR" program. The program features a $1,000 reward for each referral that joins the Coast Guard.

 

 

Recruiting Support Specialist White proudly features his first STAR success, Seaman Recruit Adam Cook Jr., who is reporting to his first duty station in Hawaii. The STAR program is open to all Auxiliary members.
