Flotilla 11-8 Member Training

Core Training

This is mandatory training for all Coast Guard Auxiliary members. There are two sections, AUXCT and BQCII. You will need to sign in with your Auxiliary credentials.

Important: ICS/IS courses are not required for membership but may be required for certain qualifications. Additionally, ICS Course completions are not automated, but must be recorded in AUXDATA manually by emailing the certificate to the Auxiliary Support and Training Center (Please login to see email address).


Core Training Notes

Taken upon enrollment, then once every five years

  • Workforce Resilience Training
  • Security Fundamentals
  • Privacy at DHS/Protecting Personal Information
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention
  • Civil Rights Awareness
First year of enrollment or once for current members.
  • Ethics 1 / Personal Gifts
  • Basic Qualification Course II (BQCII)
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
It is critical to stay on top of mandatory training. Failure to complete them will result in ineligibility for qualifications and member offices, among other consequences.

Member Qualifications

On top of mandatory Core Training, members may also acquire special qualifications. 

Training is available in many courses including: Boat Crew, Coxswain, Air Crew, Vessel Examiner, Instructor, Aids to Navigation Verifier, Radio Watchstander and Auxiliary Chef as a few examples.
