FREE VESSEL SAFETY CHECKS The Coast Guard Auxiliary offers free Vessel Safety Checks to the Recreational Boating public. We can be seen at local boat launches giving Vessel Safety Checks. BOATING SAFETY CLASSES. We offer a wide variety of Boating Safety classes for the Recreational Boating Public. We give an 8 hour course on the basics of Boating which meets the requirements of the State of Michigan for PWC operations. We also offer a more in depth Boating Safety and Seamanship classes.
