NOTE: There are a number of general works on the German submarine warfare along the Atlantic Coast early in World War II, on the Coastal Picket Force, and the Beach Patrol. Most only give a one or two sentence mention of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. For this reason, with the exception of Noble's work, they are not listed.
