serving King Harbor and Santa Monica Bay.
Our primary mission is promoting "Boating Safety" through public education classes, vessel safety checks, on the water safety patrols, air patrols, aids to navigation verification and many more opportunities.
There are nearly two dozen "qualifications" open to Auxiliarists willing to put in time and training. These are the "qualifications" that enable an Auxiliarist to become a Force Multiplier of the Coast Guard.
Membership in the Auxiliary is open to citizens 17 years of age or older. We are organized into 16 Districts nationwide with 171 Divisions and approximately 980 Flotillas.
This is a volunteer organization given non-military and non-law-enforcement missions. Beach Cities Flotilla 12-05 meets the third Tuesday each month at:
