Welcome to the Flotilla 31-5, District 9WR Web Site
US Coast Guard Auxiliary - Grand Haven, MI
The Auxiliary is the civilian, non-military component of the United States Coast Guard, created by an act of Congress in 1939. Auxiliarists serve the Grand Haven area as well as the western shore of Michigan side-by-side with members of the Coast Guard. We are a diverse group of about 35,000 people. Our love of the water, and willingness to serve fellow boaters binds us together to promote safe boating. The Auxiliary built its foundation on four cornerstones:
Public Education
Vessel Safety Checks
Operations
Fellowship
As a Member of the Auxiliary, you can participate in many of the Coast Guard’s missions such as recreational boating safety checks, pollution patrols, radio watch standing, regatta and safety patrols, search and rescue missions, plus many more opportunities.
Flotilla meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the 1st Thursday of each month at the Coast Guard Station Grand Haven located at 601 South Harbor Drive in Grand Haven, MI. We hope to see you there. Semper Paratus!
