  • * Aids to Navigation System, subtitled "What You Need to Know About Markers on the Water," describes the system of buoys and markers that note safe channels and regulate maritime traffic on America's waterways. The booklet was published by the U.S. Coast Guard. (36-page on-line booklet. Readable / prinatable, but no download available)

  • * DSC: A brochure put out by the U.S. Coast Guard on the Digital Selective Calling system. (Tri-fold brochure; 2 pages, 8 1/2 x 11 inches)
  • * Life Jackets: Created by the Personal Flotation Device Manufacturer's Association, "Facts About Life Jackets" will give you the information you need about life jackets. The brochure is designed to help you select and care for the right PFD to match your boating activity. (24 pages; 8 1/2 x 3 5/8 inches. Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to print multiple pages per sheet of paper.)
  • * Think Twice With Ice: Ice fishing during Michigan's winter season can be fun, but it can be dangerous, too. "Think Twice With Ice" is a brochure on how to stay safe on the ice, published by the U.S. Coast Guard's 9th District in Cleveland. (Tri-fold brochure; 2 pages, 8 1/2 x 11 inches)
