Boaters Safety Class
This 8-hour class covers basic legal requirements for boaters, boating safety, elements of boat handling, as well as how to handle some common boating emergencies. About Boating Safely is About Keeping Boaters Safe.
There is an examination at the end of the class. A passing score will make the boater eligible for a State of Florida/Georgia Boater Education ID card, a requirement for boaters born on or after January 1, 1988 in Florida or born on or after January 1, 1998 in Georgia to operate a boat in state waters.
The class costs $25 per person,
or $30 per family (up to 4).
