COMMERCIAL "CHARTER 6 PACK" VESSEL OWNERS AND OPERATORS

Commercial "Charter" Uninspected Passenger Vessel (UPV) owners and their MMC Captains can get a no-cost UPV Examination and earn a decal valid for 1 year from date of passing plus benefits to your daily business operation and your customers. 

The owner, MMC Captain and passengers-for-hire all benefit!

The term “uninspected” refers to the provision under the Passenger Vessel Act of 1993 that vessels carrying six or fewer passengers-for-hire do not require a mandatory annual inspection by the US Coast Guard.  However, such commercial vessels must still comply with all regulations, which includes being properly equipped and operated by a properly licensed captain.  Such "uninspected" vessels and operators are subject to boarding and auditing at any time to insure their compliance, just as with inspected vessels. 

Passing a UPV Exam keeps your commercial operation in compliance.  Examination documentation is retained onboard and the UPV Examination Decal is displayed on the portside.  Your operation is thus recognized as having been examined by the US Coast Guard for compliance.
