Boat America Classes

Our classroom-based boating safety classes have resumed but, due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating is limited. In addition, students must register in advance of the class to be eligible to attend.

One of the Coast Guard Auxiliary's cornerstone missions is to educate the public on recreational boating safety. Our program for 2022 features the Boat America course taught by experienced instructors. All graduates receive the Florida Boating Safety Education I.D. Card which is required for all boaters born after January 1, 1988.

Our 2024 classes are offered on the third Saturday of each month except September and December.

Class times are 8am to 5pm.

Remaining 2024 class dates:

  • 20 April
  • 18 May
  • 15 June
  • 20 July
  • 17 August
  • 19 October
  • 16 November
