Flotilla 78 is located in St Pete Beach and Madeira Beach, Florida. We meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the USCG Auxiliary Building, 299 Boca Ciega DR., Madeira Beach, FL 33708.

Safe Boating Classes 

A Florida Boating Safety ID Card is required for anyone born after January 1, 1988 who operates a vessel powered by more than 10HP.

U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 78 offers two courses, either of which qualify you for the Florida Boating Safety ID Card. (BS&S) class, 12 weeks every Tuesday 7 - 9 p.m. held in St Pete Beach.

Basic Skills & Seamanship (BS&S) class, 12 weeks every Tuesday 7 - 9 p.m. held in St Pete Beach.

Boat America (BA) class, eight hours the 1st Saturday of the month held in Madeira Beach.

Many boat insurance companies offer discounts to individuals who successfully complete either course.
