Welcome to the Flotilla 25-12, District 5SR Web Site

USCG Auxiliary Flotilla Arlington - Northern VirginiaWelcome and thanks for visiting U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla Arlington - Northern Virginia.
Flotilla 25-12 is the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary's local presence in Northern Virginia. Our operations and personnel are focused on the Upper Potomac River bordering Arlington, Fairfax and Loudon counties in the Washington DC area.

Safety. Security. Marine environmental protection. Humanitarian assistance. Homeland security.  Service to others—in our communities, across the nation, and around the world. These are the things that Coast Guard Auxiliarists put first every day, the missions that these uniformed civilian volunteers have tirelessly performed for over seventy five years.

Auxiliarists come from a wide range of backgrounds, working in countless jobs outside of the Coast Guard, but serving together part-time in an equally wide range of missions. Auxiliarists are boat crews on the water supporting boater safety, public educators to recreational boaters, vessel inspectors, public affairs specialists, international language interpreters traveling the world, protectors of the marine environment, healthcare specialists, and more.
Flotilla 25-12 has a relatively young membership. Most of our members either work full time or are students at local universities. Our "home" marina for operations and courtesy vessel safety checks is Columbia Island Marina,, located at the Pentagon Lagoon. Check out our Facebook page at
