DCDR Welcome

Welcome to Division 10

From Division Commander Lou Stanton

Division 10 is a highly diverse group including three Flotillas along the
Southeastern North Carolina Coast. Our Area of Responsibility (AOR) extends from
Topsail Island south to the NC/SC border. This geographical region encompasses
lakes, bays, sounds, rivers as well as the Atlantic Ocean coastline. Included
within this area is one USCG Motor Lifeboat Stations at Oak Island, one medium
boat Station in Wrightsville Beach, one buoy tender and Sector NC Headquarters.
All of these units depend heavily on the support of our Auxiliary members. We
have a proud tradition of support to the recreational boating public, answering
the call when our fellow shipmates need us, Active Duty, Reserve and Auxiliary.
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the civilian, volunteer, uniformed
service of the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Congress established the USCG
Auxiliary on June 23, 1939 as the United States Coast Guard Reserve. On February
19, 1941, the organization was re-designated as the United States Coast Guard
Auxiliary.
For over 80 years we have sustained the test of time serving our communities and
the country with Honor, Respect and Devotion to duty.
