Welcome to the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Division 3, Fifth District, Southern Region's web page. Division 3 flotillas in Virginia operate from the Middle James and Appomattox rivers in the west to the Rappahannock and Potomac rivers in the east. The four flotillas provide support and receive direction from three Coast Guard Stations: STA Portsmouth, STA Milford Haven, and STA St. Inigoes. Whether teaching safety classes, performing courtesy safety inspections, providing watch standing, clergy, or food service support and operational patrols, D3 members ably augment the active duty and carry the recreational boating safety mission forward.
