Public Education

Flotilla 15-10 provides Public Education in a variety of ways to support the boating community of Lake Hopatcong and the surrounding area.

We provide Boating Courses which enable participants to receive their New Jersey Safe Boating License upon satisfactory completion of the course.  See the "Boating Courses - Local Courses" page for details on upcoming local course offerings.

Auxiliarist offering boating safety information

We participate in local boating and boating safety events in the Lake Hopatcong Area.

Among them are events sponsored by local business, marinas and boat dealerships.  At these venues, we offer boating safety and local information,  some items of interest for our younger boaters, and occasionally some prizes and giveaways.

We normally post these upcoming events on the "What's New" page, so check out our upcoming plans and come out and see us.

If there are topics of particular interest to you, contact us and we will see if we can provide information or prepare a program that will meet your needs.

For larger groups and social organizations in the area, we welcome inquiries regarding ways we inform or assist your group on matters pertinent to boating safety.

Click here to send an email to George Roth, the Public Education Staff Officer for Flotilla 15-10 with a request for additional education information and a confirmation will be sent to you by return email.
